108 staff to return to work

Bengaluru: The 108 ambulance service staff, on Thursday told the Karnataka high court that they would resume work from Thursday morning, after GVK-EMRI gave it in writing to the court that they would reinstate all the terminated 108 service staff.
Both GVK and the employees filed a joint affidavit to this effect before the court bench headed by Justice K.L. Manjunath, temporarily ending the 14-day-long ordeal. While the court directed the employees to resume work from 8 am on Friday, it directed the state to resolve the dispute at the meeting scheduled to be held on August 14 between representatives of GVK-EMRI and 108 service staff.
The court has also directed the state to file an affidavit following the outcome of the scheduled meeting on August 14. Earlier the company informed the court that it has provided PF, employment security and other facilities to the employees as per the agreement. Thanks deccan chronicle.
